Bedding

Robin Brodie 25411

From bed skirts to bolsters to curtains and more, each bedroom is distinctly personal—a private space in which we relax, play, study, and enjoy. Bedding enhances the ambiance of the room while adding comfort.

Decorating your bed can be one of the most aesthetically rewarding experiences. The possibilities are endless, and defining a functional, liveable and appealing space is key. Whether you prefer contemporary, traditional, Asian, European, eclectic, subtle or bold, I help families navigate a variety of options and claim a bedroom that is comfortable and customized.

Bedding Tips

Twin or single beds can be dressed with a single sham (either European or queen) and topped off with two decorative pillows or a bolster.

Full and queen beds look best with two standard shams placed side-by-side. Adding a few decorative pillows adds a splash of color and a touch of whimsy.

King beds are best decorated with three European shams set side-by-side, followed by two king size shams, and further accented with either three decorative pillows or a long bolster pillow.

Why Interior Design Matters

Do you know the difference between a coverlet, duvet cover, and comforter? Moveable mattress foundations and beds come in endless shapes and sizes… all great reasons for custom bedding. There are ways to reduce the cost without sacrificing originality, quality or aesthetics.

A Professional Consultation

Ask me about these and other decorating questions. A consultation provides an opportunity to coordinate your draperies with your bedding. Or perhaps your bedroom is flooded with light, which disturbs your sleep. I evaluate the functionality of each bedroom and finds solutions with a designer’s eye. The goal is to create a professional, balanced and personalized interior for the bedroom.
